Drunk friend stabs his two co-workers

TWENTY-three-year-old Danny Ocde was arrested in Barangay Liwa-Liwa in Bolinao shortly after he stabbed his two co-workers on May 13.

P/Lt. Col. Radino Belly, chief of police of Bolinao, identified the suspect as a construction worker and a resident of Barangay Catungi in Bolinao.

The victims were identified as Fernando Cariño, 45; and Jerome Apelado, 23, both residents and construction workers in Barangay Liwa-Liwa.

An initial investigation showed the victims accompanied the suspect on his way home in Barangay Catungi using Cariño’s motorcycle after having a drinking spree.

The suspect later fell on the road due to his drunkenness. When Cariño tried to help him up, Ocde pulled out a knife and stabbed Cariño in the stomach for no apparent reason.

When Apelado saw Ocde stab Cariño, he tended to his wounded friend but he, too, was stabbed in the back by Ocde.

The victims called the police and were taken to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, Ocde is being held at the Bolinao Police Station. A the case of Double Frustrated Homicide is now being prepared against him. (Kim Gealogo)
