2 Dagupeños nabbed in Lingayen drug ops
TWO Dagupan City residents were arrested in a drug-bust operation by authorities in Lingayen town.
Arrested are identified as Jayson Disu Cayabyab, 38, a resident of Barangay Bonuan Gueset, and Wilson Jorda Paras, 28, a resident of Barangay Bonuan Boquig.
Anti-drugs operatives nabbed the suspects along Maramba Boulevard in Lingayen town, after selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in a transaction with an undercover police officer. Police found another sachet containing suspected shabu after the arrest.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 were filed against them.

Man arrested for stabbing cousin
A 31-year-old man was arrested after stabbing his 39-year-old cousin in Barangay Carael, Dagupan City.
Suspect Kevin Vinluan Manaois was having a drinking spree along with a friend when the victim, Rod Fernandez Manaois, arrived.
The cousins had a disagreement, resulting in a scuffle, until the suspect broke a bottle of soft drinks and stabbed his cousin on his right shoulder.
The suspect eventually calmed down when neighbors intervened and was arrested. The victim was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Motorcycle rider dies in collision with van
A 23-year-old student died after colliding with a van in Urdaneta City.
Victim Ray Martin Consolacion Quinto, resident of Barangay Consolacion, Urdaneta City, was riding his motorcycle along the Bypass Road of Barangay Santa Lucia, when he collided with a van being driven by Jose Avelino Corpuz Jr, 43, of Barangay Mapalad, San Agustin, Isabela, when he made a sudden U-turn.
The head-on collision resulted in the victim sustaining severe injuries. Quinto was rushed to the hospital, but died while undergoing treatment.

Rider, back-rider crash into a concrete barrier
TWO were injured after their motorcycle crashed into a concrete barrier in Barangay Guibel, San Jacinto.
Victims Louie Cayabyab, 40, and Cheryl Aquino, 37, both residents of Barangay Bonyan Boquig, Dagupan City, were riding along the national highway, when they crashed into a concrete barrier that had no warning in the middle of the road.
There were no indicators nor reflectors in the barrier to warn motorists, according to witnesses.
The victims were rushed to the hospital, and are undergoing treatment.

71-year-old rider dies in SUV collision
A 71-year-old man died when his motorcycle was hit from behind by an SUV in Barangay Asan Sur, Sison town.
Victim Rodrigo Penuliar, a resident of Barangay Mermer in Manaoag town, was riding his motorcycle, when he was rammed by an SUV being driven by Artemio Orcino, of Barangay Cauuringan, Sison.
Police investigation showed that the SUV was also rammed behind by another vehicle being driven by Allan Guingab Lapat, 43, of Barangay Pozorrubio before hitting Penuliar.
Penuliar was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
