Five nabbed in triple buy-bust ops, yields P340-k shabu

FIVE suspected drug pushers were arrested during a night of continuous drug buy-bust operations by the Dagupan City Police to boost the city government’s campaign against illegal drugs.

Suspects Adriano Sindo Melecio aka Daniel, 38, buko vendor, resident of Barangay Tapuac, Dagupan City, and Mark Anthony Coquia aka RR, 30, a resident of Barangay Caranglaan, Dagupan City, were first arrested in an operation Wednesday midnight, January 31.

Police confiscated five sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 25 grams, worth about P170,000. They were arrested in Barangay Tapuac.

Later, at past 3 in the morning of the same day, suspects Gonzalo Rosetes aka Dudes, 38, of Barangay Calmay, Dagupan City, along with Mark Anthony Flores aka Mak Mak, 24, also a resident of said area, were arrested in another operation in Barangay Tapuac.

This time, four sachets containing suspected shabu have been confiscated, weighing more or less 20 grams, and worth P136,000.

Meanwhile, later on said date, another suspect with the alias Pido, was arrested. He was carrying 2 sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing about 5 grams, and worth P34,000.

Among  those seized during the buy-bust operations were boodle money used by police to entrap the suspects, their cellphones, and motorcycles used in their transactions.

All suspects are lodged at the Dagupan City jail, and have been charged cases in violation of Section 5 of the Republic Act 9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
