Man burns self to death by Virgin’s Well in Manaoag
AN auto mechanic committed suicide by burning himself to death at the Virgin’s Well in Manaoag on January 4.
Luisito Buenaventura, 55, and resident of Barangay Botao, Sta. Barbara, was found dead by the parking boy/caretaker named Leonardo Mosada.
Based on Mosada’s statement, he noticed a motorcycle parked unattended at the parking area prompting him to look around for its owner until reached a grassy part of the Virgin’s Well and discovered a burned human body.
While checking the victim’s cellular phone, he found out that the victim took a video of himself while pouring gasoline on his body and ignited himself to death.
Motive for the incident was allegedly due to intense mental pressure about a family problem. (Eva Visperas)
