PDEA busts another Dagupan drug den, 4 arrested
THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) dismantled a drug den in Barangay Tapuac, Dagupan City, after a successful buy-bust operation conducted past midnight on Tuesday, September 26.
PDEA provincial officer Rechie Camacho said the operation initially targeted Mary Ann Villanueva, alleged drug dealer in the city but a Raymund Ballesteros was also arrested when he handed the purchased sachet to a PDEA agent posing as a buyer.
Both Villanueva and Ballesteros are residents of Barangay Tapuac.
After their arrest, the PDEA operatives proceeded to Ballesteros’ place after it was determined that he was operating a boarding house catering to students and a drug den where Mark Ramos and Jomar Cobelo, both residents of Dagupan City, were reportedly caught inside a room doping. Both were arrested on the spot.
PDEA confiscated 15 grams of suspected ‘shabu’ with a P108,000 street value from Villanueva and Ballesteros.
The suspects have been charged and are currently in PDEA custody. (Ahikam Pasion)
