3 drug suspects arrested in Pangasinan

THREE persons were arrested in Pangasinan for illegal drugs in separate operations conducted by the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office recently.

Arrested by the police on August 10 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, was Dave Molina, 28, a native of Tondo, Manila, who was tagged by the police as a new drug personality.

He was arrested when the police served the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Rusty Nava of the Regional Trial Court Branch 51 in Tayug at the house where he was temporarily residing in Poblacion East, Umingan, from where they found 16 pieces of plastic sachets containing shabu, estimated at 2.15 grams and valued at P17,000.

Meanwhile, a former drug surrenderer was arrested in a buy-bust operation by lawmen in Barangay Carael in Dagupan City, on August 10.

The suspect was identified by the Dagupan City Police as Sherwin Nabor, 53, of Barangay Calmay in Dagupan.

Seized from him were four sachets of suspected shabu, valued at P34,000, one piece of genuine P500 bill and 20 pieces of boodle money.

In another buy-bust operation, Ronnel Barrios, 26, a truck helper from Arellano Street in Dagupan City, was arrested by the San Jacinto Police in Barangay Sta. Maria, San Jacinto on August 11.

Seized by lawmen from his possession was one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, valued at more than P1,000 and the buy-bust money of P500.

Barrios will also face a case for violation of Republic Act No. 10591 for carrying one unlicensed Caliber 38 revolver with three live ammunition in its chamber. (Leonardo Micua)
