PD Fanged warns PAGS, guns-for-hire
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) warned private armed groups (PAGs) and suspected guns-for-hire that they will be dealt with severely if caught planning and committing violence during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) period in October.
In an interview with mediamen, P/Colonel Jeff Fanged, PPPO director, warned that the PPPO is prepared to counter any activity involving PAGs, gunrunning, and guns-for-hire.
He said the PPPO has already identified suspected guns-for-hire and members of PAGs and their movements are already being closely monitored.
“Documented yang mga yan, may list na rin sa Crame”, he said.
He said a modified “Tokhang“ approach will be used against the suspects.. ”Binabantayan natin sila, huwag silang magkumpiyansa,” adding that more undercover policemen have been deployed in barangays where they are known to be operating.
The Pangasinan PPO has 3,505 personnel. (Ahikam Pasion)
