P1.5M shabu seized in buy-operation, 3 arrested
THREE persons were arrested by the police on Tuesday, July 25, in a buy-bust operation that resulted in seizure of shabu valued at P1.5 million conducted by the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Cauringan, Sison.
The arrested suspects were two fruit dealers Yuri John Salazar, 47, from Barangay Mabanogbog, Urdaneta City and Jerome Salazar, 45, from Minien East, Sta. Barbara; and Rayhannah Macasindel Sultan, 26, of Dasmarinas, Cavite, listed as high value target.
The suspects were arrested after they sold and turned over some 225 grams of shabu with street value of P1.5 million to undercover lawmen and received the cash (P1,000 genuine bill and P800 in different denominations), placed on top of neatly cut 640 pieces of boodle money.
Among those seized in that operation participated by agents of PDEA Region 1 with the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office as lead unit, were two cellphones, identification cards of the suspects, BIR ID of Rayhannah Sultan, two wallets, one brown envelope, and Toyota Fortuner. (Leonardo Micua)
