Pangasinan PNP nabs 111 in 7-day operations
THE recent weeklong operations (March 4 to March 10) by the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) resulted in the arrests of 111 persons for various crimes.
According to P/Colonel Jeff Fanged, provincial director, said 49 of those arrested were Other Wanted Persons (OWP), while 13 were in the list of Most Wanted Persons (MWP).
There were 31 individuals arrested for possessing unregistered firearms as a result of 24 operations while 13 anti-illegal drug operations nabbed 15 drug personalities for possessing 7.16 grams of shabu.
Ten individuals were arrested in anti-illegal gambling operations.
Meanwhile, Fanged warned the public of scams using his name.
The current scam modus involves asking mobile loads or cash from offices in the Capitol Compound by individuals posing as Fanged’s associates.
Fanged said his office does not solicit money for any cause and urged the public to immediately report the incident to local police for suspected scam operations. (Ahikam Pasion)
