Pangasinan PNP rates highest in Region 1

THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) logged the most number of wanted persons and of drug personalities arrested in Region 1 during the nationwide ‘Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations’ (SACLEO) from January 22 to 29, 2023.
According to P/Brig. General John Chua, Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) director, the nationwide SACLEO involved the serving of warrants of arrest to wanted persons for various crimes and to high value targets engaged in the drug trade during the drug supply reduction operations.
Chua said the PPPO, led by P/Colonel Jeff Fanged as police provincial director, served search warrants to 139 persons followed by Ilocos Norte, 42; La Union, 35; and Ilocos Sur, 14.
The ‘Supply Reduction Operations Against Illegal Drugs’ resulted in the seizure of 44,490 grams of shabu, 518 grams of marijuana and 38,120 pieces of marijuana plants, all with a combined Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P7,988,782.00.
These 85 anti-illegal drug operations resulted in the apprehension of 92 drug personalities: 73 in Pangasinan, 9 in La Union, 6 in Ilocos Norte, and 2 in Ilocos Sur.
Chua said the big number of wanted persons and drug personalities are breakthroughs in PRO 1’s continuing efforts against all forms of criminality. (Leonardo Micua)
