Police bust Dagupan drug den
A drug den was busted and its maintainer was arrested following a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Dagupan police on Zamora Street in Barangay Pogo Chico, 10 p.m. last Saturday, October 1.
Arrested was Tony Fernandez, 32, the suspected drug den maintainer and the subject of the operation, in a buy-bust deal in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 1.
Also arrested inside the drug den were Anselmo Melecio, 20, a fish porter of Callejon Street in Barangay Pogo Chico; and Mica Enriquez, 21, of Zamora Street, also of Pogo Chico, who at the time of the drug buy-bust were in the middle of a ‘pot’ session.
One suspect who managed to elude arrest was identified as Jaylou Fonacier of Sitio Maliwawa, Barangay Pogo Chico, Dagupan City. He is now the object of manhunt.
Seized by lawmen were one small plastic sachet of shabu with P950 street value that was sold by Fernandez to an undercover agent, P500 bill and a boodle money.
Seized from the persons holding a pot session were one plastic aluminum foil, three disposable lighters, one sachet containing improvised rooters, one bundle of size sachets, one black leather wallet of Fonacier, one Rusi motorcycle, eight pieces of small sachets containing suspected shabu, with P7,820 street value.
All suspects were charged with violations not Republic Ac 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Acts of 1991. (Leonardo Micua)
