PDEA nabs two Manila students in P1.5-M buy-bust ops
THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) along with the local police, have arrested two High Value Target (HVT) drug personalities in a buy-bust operation in Urdaneta City on Monday night, October 3.
Rechie Camacho, provincial officer of PDEA-Pangasinan, said they recovered 500 grams of suspected kush (high-grade marijuana) worth PHP 1.5 million, and 100 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P12,000, and the boodle money used in the transaction.
Suspects Rouch Tianes, 23, and Jomari Dalina,21, both residing in the National Capital Region, were nabbed after selling illegal drugs to PDEA operatives in Barangay Nancayasan.
Camacho said investigation showed the two suspects from affluent families: Tianes is enrolled in an elite aeronautical school, while Dalina is studying in an exclusive Catholic college.
He said PDEA is currently tracking their networking operations in Pangasinan.
The suspects have been charged for violation of the Section 5, Article II of the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Ahikam Pasion)
