A member of a gun for hire group, involved in illegal drugs and a robbery in the Third and Fourth Districts was arrested in Calasiao last October 1.

P/ Colonel Jeff Fanged, OIC provincial director in Pangasinan, identified the suspect as Rodolfo Resuello Jr, 41, a native of San Carlos City.

Police operatives tracked Resuello from the National Capital Region (NCR) where he was in hiding to the day he traveled to be with his family in Pangasinan.

Col. Fanged told newsmen that Resuello was arrested at the boundary ng San Carlos City and Calasiao.

Resuello, a dismissed police officer, was assigned at the police stations in San Carlos City, Calasiao and Rosales and even at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office headquarters and became Absent without Official Leave (AWOL) as a police officer since 2014.

Col. Fanged said the suspect was a former member of the Dawis Criminal Group in 2015, which was soon renamed in 2016 as Darema (DAWIS, RESUELLO, MABANGLO) Criminal Group. He is known to be the financier of the group.

Fanged said Resuello was also reportedly the protector of the Villa and Ponce Criminal Group that victimized an Indian national and some residents of San Carlos City and adjoining towns.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government tagged Resuello as the Most Wanted Person and offered P145,00 reward for his capture. (Ella Garcia/ IFM Dagupan)
