Construction worker stabs minor student dead
A 17-year-old minor was stabbed dead by a 25-year-old construction worker along the national highway of Barangay Tocok in San Fabian on Sunday night, October 16.
Victim Jonathan Carig, a student of Mabilao of said town, was acting as a chaperone for his friend who is courting a woman, when he was suddenly stabbed by suspect Mark Ymasa, resident of Barangay Tocok, on the right side of his waist.
Carig suddenly ran away, managed to ask for help, before collapsing on the highway.
He was rushed to a government hospital in Dagupan City, but was declared dead on arrival.
Ymasa was arrested in a hot-pursuit operation conducted by the police.
Investigation reveals the motive behind the murder is robbery hold-up.
