THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution congratulating the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) provincial office in Pangasinan for its successful drug offensive operation in Pozorrubio on August 12 that resulted in the seizure of P2.5 billion worth of shabu.

Resolution No. 96 series of 2022 authored by Third District Board Member Veci Ventanilla and co-authored by all provincial board members cited the PDEA operation in Barangay Balding in Pozorrubio as the biggest drug bust in Pangasinan and the entire Region 1.

Four persons, including a Chinese national temporarily residing in Agoo, La Union, were arrested in this operation led by the PDEA operatives under Pangasinan Provincial Director Richie Camacho, backed by the Philippine National Police, the Naval Intelligence Unit and other operating units.

The resolution reiterated the support of the provincial government to PDEA.

“It is noteworthy that law enforcement agencies had been making headways in the field of drug supply reduction in the province of Pangasinan. The successful drug raid is a clear manifestation of PDEA’s unwavering and honest commitment to intensify the war against illegal drug activities for the province to attain lasting peace,” Ventanilla said.
