Man crossing street hit by motorcycle, dies
A 67-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle in Barangay Malaca, Urbiztondo town on Monday night, May 30.
The victim, Alberto Ramirez Sr., a resident of said place, was crossing the street in the barangay when Renato Sibayan, 18, with backrider Tammy Sibayan, 52, also residents in the barangay, hit him as they sped by in his motorcycle.
While the trio sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies and were eventually rushed to the hospital, Ramirez was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Police investigation shows that both the driver and his backrider were not wearing helmets when the incident occurred. The younger Sibayan also has no license.
Sibayan is currently under police custody. (Ahikam Pasion)
