Grade 2 boy drowns in Agno River

AN eight-year-old boy drowned at the Agno River after he was swept away by strong currents on Monday, May 30.

Police investigation showed the victim, Jozzel John Rigor, grade 2 pupil and a resident of Barangay San Vicente in Alcala town, was with his three cousins about to wash their cow along the Agno River at Barangay Laoac in the same town.

They eventually decided to swim, but Rigor was swept away by strong river currents, and drowned.

He was rescued and rushed to the Bayambang District Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. (Ahikam Pasion)
