6th most wanted fugitive nabbed in Ifugao
AFTER managing to hide for 31 years in Ifugao, Pangasinan’s sixth most wanted person was finally arrested.
The suspect, Lito Duque, 56, farmer and a resident of Barangay San Jose, Aguilar town, was arrested by virtue of a warrant for the crime of murder docketed under Criminal Case No. L–4211 – 38 issued by then Regional Trial Court Branch 38 Presiding Judge Nicodemo Ferrer in Lingayen dated January 9, 1991 with no bail recommended.
Duque was arrested last April 25 in Barangay San Jose in Alfonso Lista town, Ifugao by joint operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Pangasinan, Aguilar Municipal Police Station, Pangasinan 1st Provincial Maneuver Force Company, Pangasinan Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit and Alfonso Lista Municipal Police Station.
P/Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, Police Regional Office 1 director, lauded the members of the arresting team and encouraged all police officers “to remain resilient in our drive against criminality while maintaining stronger partnership in intelligence operation”. (Eva Visperas)
