Man recently out of jail gets arrested anew
A MAN who recently got out of jail was arrested again by operatives of the Dagupan City PNP following a drug operation in Barangay Bonuan Boquig.
Police arrested Nichol Gumanong, 23, a resident of Sition Silungan in Bonuan Binloc in Dagupan City, after he sold two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 10grams of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer.
Gumanong was released from detention in BJMP on February 3 this year, after availing of a plea bargaining agreement (PBA) with the court.
He was arrested on December 2020 also in a drug-bust operation in Bonuan Binloc.
Because of his second arrest, he is no longer qualified to avail of the PBA. He was charged for violating R.A. 9165.
In an interview with the suspect, Gumanong said he only went back to selling illegal drugs, he is struggling to provide for his four children and partner. He said he earns P2k from each “run” and knows no other means for livelihood. (Ahikam Pasion)
