Former PSU exec hacked dead

A FORMER campus executive director of the Pangasinan State University’s (PSU) Infanta campus was found dead with head wounds from hacking on March 8 at the back of her residence in Sitio Sawang Barangay Bamban in Infanta town.

The victim, Naominada Olermo, single, a retired employee of PSU Infanta campus, was found lying on the floor with blood flowing from her head injuries.

Police investigation showed it was the farmland caretaker of the victim, Juderick Manalo, 41, who found Olermo dead late afternoon.

No suspect has been identified at press time.

In a statement posted on Facebook, it read, “The entire PSU Community deeply mourns the untimely death of Dr. Naominida Olermo, a retired faculty member and the former Campus Executive Director of Infanta Campus. A strong-willed woman with a deep passion for service particularly to her beloved Infanta Campus, Dr. Olermo served the University from 1987-2019.”

The university called on law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation process so that the perpetrators of the crime will be penalized to the full extent of the law. (Eva Visperas)
