Heavily indebted man addicted to e-sabong hangs self
AFTER being heavily indebted due to e-sabong, a member of the LBTQ + community in Malasiqui committed suicide.
The victim, according to the local police, became heavily indebted after repeatedly losing in e-sabong via the betting station in Malasiqui.
The victim’s close relatives learned about their kin’s predicament and helped pay the victim’s debts. What they did not expect is for him to commit suicide because of his predicament.
The police said the victim used an electrical cord to hang himself inside his room.
The police hinted the victim may have been suffering from deep depression as a result of his gambling debts and that drove him to take his own life. (Leonardo Micua)
