Car crash kills 1, hurt 5 others

ONE died while five others were hurt when the car they were riding crashed on a concrete gate of a residence in Barangay Balingueo, Sta. Barbara at around 12:30 a.m. of Dec. 12.

P/Major Rizalino Suarez, town police chief, identified the fatality as Franklin Narvasa, 32, a passenger who was thrown out of a white Honda Civic car and was declared on arrival at the Mapandan Community Hospital.

Injured in the accident and confined at the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City were John Martin Javate, 24, driver, with passengers Peter Causin, 25 ; Nubbin Rosario, 28 ; John Mcniel Casilla, 24 and Charles Bryan Tigoy, 24, all stay-in employees of Oro Oxygen Corporation in Barangay Minien East, Sta. Barbara.

The group was traveling from Malasiqui to Sta. Barbara town and everyone was reportedly drunk when the driver lost control of the vehicle when it negotiated a curve at high speed. (Eva Visperas)
