Two nabbed in buy-bust ops, yield P340k worth of shabu
TWO high value targets (HVT) from the province of Tarlac were arrested following a buy-bust operation by authorities in Dagupan City on Monday night, June 14 that led to seizure of 53 grams of shabu valued at P340,000.
The joint operation, led by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Dagupan City PNP nabbed John Ervin Guiao, 26, a driver, and Arvie Flores, 27, call center agent, both residents of Barangay San Sebastian, San Vicente town.
The suspects were arrested after selling three transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing ten grams, worth P 52,000 to an undercover operative in front of a hotel in Barangay Tapuac.
Seized from the suspects were nine more plastic sachets containing shabu, combined marked and boodle money used in the operation, drug paraphernalia, and a Toyota Fortuner used as their transportation.
Investigation revealed the suspects operate in Pangasinan, and were in Dagupan City to drop their supplies to local drug peddlers here.
The suspects are currently under police custody, while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 have been filed against them. (Ahikam Pasion)
