THE Dagupan City Police Office (DCPO) has strengthened its security force ahead of the holiday season with the deployment of more than 80 additional police officers from Police Regional Office 1 to help manage the expected surge in public activity.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Gonzales, head of the DCPO Community Affairs and Development Unit, said the reinforcements raised the city’s total police strength to over 500 and were immediately assigned to police stations covering high-traffic areas such as public markets, transport terminals, commercial centers, national highways, and churches, particularly during nightly Simbang Gabi masses.

Gonzales said the entire DCPO is on full alert to ensure peace and order during the holidays, urging the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities.
