THE Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved a resolution authorizing Mayor Belen Fernandez to accept a P40-million financial donation from the Office of the President for socio-civic and community programs in Dagupan City.

Resolution No. R-198, Series of 2025, authored by Councilor Michael Fernandez, empowers the mayor to sign all documents needed for the acknowledgment and proper use of the funds. The council noted that LGU acceptance of donations requires its formal authorization.

The financial aid will be coursed through Undersecretary Adrian Carlos Bersamin and Undersecretary Al-Azree Mohammadsali, representing the Office of the President.

The resolution also expressed the city government’s gratitude for the assistance, which officials said will directly benefit Dagupeños. (Leonardo Micua)
