Pangasinan tops ILI cases in Region 1

Pangasinan has recorded the highest number of influenza-like illness (ILI) cases in Region 1, with 2,960 cases reported from January to October 15, according to the DOH-Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit. Ilocos Norte followed it with 2,229 cases, La Union with 1,762, Ilocos Sur with 1,345, and Dagupan City with 546. Last year, the region recorded a total of 10,605 ILI cases, the DOH-RESU added. Pangasinan salt makers get modern tools

Salt producers in the Ilocos Region have received new equipment under the government’s Development of Salt Industry Project. ALS program for Pangasinan PDLs expanded

The Pangasinan provincial government has extended the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency Program for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) until 2028. Implemented in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Pangasinan I, the program aims to provide PDLs with the opportunity to complete their elementary and secondary education as part of their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Goat-napper nabbed in Binmaley

A man from San Carlos City was arrested for stealing a goat worth ₱10,000 in Barangay Biec, Binmaley. The suspect was caught by a vigilant barangay tanod while transporting the stolen animal on his tricycle.
