600K affected by super typhoon “Uwan” in Pangasinan

A total of 200,914 families or 670,422 individuals were affected by Super Typhoon “Uwan” (International name: Fong Wou), which lashed Pangasinan from November 9 to 10, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

Of the total affected, 4,052 families or 12,359 individuals sought refuge in various evacuation centers, while 3,119 families or 8,912 individuals stayed with relatives or friends.

The PDRRMO reported that 12,233 houses sustained partial damage, while 4,220 were totally destroyed.

As of November 12, 13 municipalities and one city in the province have yet to restore power supply.

The estimated damage to agriculture has reached ₱234.7 million, while livestock losses amounted to ₱224,500, and infrastructure damage was placed at ₱176.5 million, the PDRRMO added. (Pangasinan PIA)
