Digital payments now increasing – BSP

THE number of establishments using digital payment systems throughout the country has considerably increased on account of more stringent security measures adopted by financial institutions under the guidance of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Bernadette Puyat, BSP deputy governor for Regional Operations and for Advocacy Sector, said the increase may also be attributed to the closer partnership between BSP and local government units, which are helping promote the QR PH system. (Mathew Pacheco)
