THE Mangaldan local government organized a meeting last week to prepare for and ensure the smooth observance of Undas in the town’s cemeteries on the weekend of November 1.

Among the main points discussed were ensuring security at the entry and exit points of the cemeteries and enforcing restrictions on prohibited items.

Concerns raised by private cemetery representatives, including controlling the issuance of gate passes and implementing procedures to prevent traffic congestion, were also addressed.

Cleaning of both public and private burial sites began on October 18, with cemetery caretakers and visitors reminded to dispose of collected weeds and trash properly.

Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rodolfo Corla led the meeting, alongside Quick Response Team focal person Ernie Cuison, under the directive of Mayor BonaFe de Vera Parayno.
