BARANGAY Dalongue Chairman Angel Tamayo denied reports of a so-called “ghost” flood control project in their area, clarifying that the structure being referred to is unfinished, not nonexistent.

He explained that a legitimate flood control project is underway in their community, but construction was temporarily paused to prioritize a similar project in neighboring Barangay Tuliao.

The Tuliao section was given urgency due to the heavy water flow from the Sinocalan River during past typhoons, which posed an immediate threat to residents.

According to the barangay chief, the subcontractor assured them that once the Tuliao segment is completed, work will resume in Dalongue.
