THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) Dagupan City District Office will conduct a Plate Distribution Caravan on Monday, August 12, at the Mangaldan Municipal Grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The activity is part of preparations for the implementation of the nationwide “No Plate, No Travel” policy, which is set to take effect in October.

It is also intended to expedite the release of long-delayed vehicle plates, particularly for units registered in 2017 and earlier.

For motorcycle owners with registrations starting in 2018, the LTO advises coordinating with their accredited dealerships to claim their plates.

Motorists must bring an original and/or photocopy of the latest official receipt and certificate of registration (OR/CR), valid ID of the registered owner, and a deed of sale if the vehicle has not yet been formally transferred.

According to the LTO, the caravan aims to address the growing issue of motorcycles traveling without official plates, a persistent challenge in enforcing traffic laws and ensuring road safety.

Mangaldan Mayor Bonafe de Vera Parayno urged both public and private motorists, especially members of local Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA), to take advantage of the distribution. (Ahikam Pasion)
