AS he officially began his third and final term, Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino pledged a purposeful term anchored on legacy, inclusive growth, and principled leadership during his inaugural address on July 14.

“Because this is my last, it will also be my most purposeful. We will not slow down. We will not settle. We will finish strong,” he said.

Among the priorities he highlighted are economic stimulation through the development of growth centers in the east, central, and western parts of the province, alongside support for the Pangasinan East-West Economic Corridor.

“We reaffirm our commitment… so that economic mobility becomes a reality, not a dream,” he said.

He also underscored expanded investments in healthcare, supporting the governor’s push for the establishment of specialty hospitals, and improving the Konsulta Plus Guiconsulta program.

In education, he committed to institutionalizing and expanding the Pangasinan Polytechnic College with three new campuses to widen access to affordable, practical education.

Lambino also echoed the provincial leadership’s focus on agriculture, promising adequate support for farmers across Pangasinan.

He reiterated his commitment to impartiality and independence as presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

“This chamber shall never become a rubber stamp, nor shall it be held hostage by political interest,” he said.

Calling for unity beyond politics, he said, “Let bygones be bygones. Let us move from politics of division to politics of inclusion and performance… Pangasinan must come first.”

He urged the Sanggunian to make this term “our most meaningful chapter,” adding, “Let our work speak louder than our names.” (Eva Visperas)
