MANAOAG Mayor Jeremy Agerico “Doc” Ming Rosario, who won another three years in office, called for unity towards a common goal of building up their municipality.

“The voice of the people is the voice of God,” said the mayor of the town most known for the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag, a popular religious tourism destination.

In an interview Tuesday, Rosario highlighted the need to heal divisions within the community, stating his willingness to reach out and foster reconciliation.

He noted that the recent elections concluded peacefully despite being a challenging and divisive contest. The mayor acknowledged the importance of unity and vowed to work harder to provide better public services and improve infrastructure.

“Let us put aside politics and work together for the success of our town,” he said, explaining he will  focus on the development of the public market, the Manaoag Arena, and the renovation of the old municipal hall.

Preparations will also be made for the Centennial Celebration of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag scheduled for 2026.

The mayor also anticipates an increase in tourism once the Pangasinan Link Expressway toll gate in Manaoag opens within the next three years. (Ahikam Pasion)
