DOH opens Super Health Centers in Anda, Bani

By March 10, 2025Inside News

THE Department of Health (DOH)–Ilocos Region opened two Super Health Centers (SHCs) on February 28 in the western Pangasinan towns of Bani and Anda.

Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco said the two facilities will provide primary care, early disease detection, minor surgical procedures, diagnostic services and vaccination including maternal and childcare to residents in these far-flung rural areas of the province.

Patients needing specialized and higher levels of care will be referred by the SHCs to the nearest DOH hospital for proper care and treatment.

The Super Health Center program bridges the gap between the rural health units and hospitals, offering health services such as outpatient care, birthing care, isolation areas, diagnostic services with laboratory tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds, pharmacy services, ambulatory surgical units, including database management of patients.

Construction of the Anda and Bani SHCs started last year and was funded through the DOH–Health Facility Enhancement Program. (DOH-R1-CMU)
