BAYAMBANG’S local laws are now accessible online at www.bayambang.gov.ph/municipal-ordinances in a move by the local government to improve transparency, accountability, and participative governance.

Sangguniang Bayan Secretary Joel Camacho said ordinances from 2018 to 2024 are already available in the database while those passed since 2016 are expected to be uploaded in the coming days.

Features of the online database include quick results when searching for a specific ordinance, displaying the title of the ordinance based on the letter typed, and access to the author or sponsor of each ordinance.

Section 59 of the Local Government Code of 1991 mandates the dissemination of approved ordinances to the public. (Kim Gealogo)
