Pangasinan records 654 dengue cases

THE Department of Health Center for Health Development Region 1 (DOH CHD-1) ramped up its campaign against dengue in Region 1.

According to DOH CHD-1 surveillance, there have been 1,242 dengue cases in Region 1 from January to June 2024.

Pangasinan reported the highest number with 654 cases, followed by La Union with 171, Ilocos Sur with 92, and Ilocos Norte with 81. Dagupan City reported 44 cases.

There were four deaths due to dengue, all in Pangasinan.

The DOH is closely monitoring several towns in Pangasinan, including Bayambang, Binmaley, Bugallon, Calasiao, Lingayen, Labrador, Mangatarem, Malasiqui, San Carlos, and Urbiztondo, due to the high number of dengue cases reported in their areas. (Ahikam Pasion)
