Lingayen opens applications for ‘Iskolar Ako Ng Bayan’ program

THE Lingayen local government announced that applications for its scholarship program, ‘Iskolar Ako ng Bayan,’ financially challenged yet deserving students in the town can start submitting their applications.

Mae Rueda, Lingayen information officer, said the program is open to all residents and incoming first-year college. students.

To qualify, the student’s parents’ or guardians’ combined annual income should not exceed P200,000.

Successful applicants who pass the qualifying examination on Aug. 24, will receive a P5,000 allowance per semester throughout their college program.

She said scholars must maintain a passing grade and should not have any failing grade throughout their college program.

Applicants must submit the following to the mayor’s office: Accomplished Individual Information Record (Application Form), Barangay Certificate of Residenc, Barangay Indigency Certificate, Income Tax Return (for government-employed parents), Social Case Study Report from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, 2×2 photo and email address.
