It’s up to DepEd to declare suspension of F2F classes — Mayor Bataoil

By April 8, 2024Inside News

UNLIKE other cities and towns in Pangasinan, the Lingayen local government gave school administrators of public and private schools in all levels to decide whether they should suspend face-to-face classes amid the prevailing high heat index in Pangasinan.

Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, said the  teachers and school administrators can discern if there is a need to suspend face-to-face classes.

Bataoil however, who consulted school officials regarding the prevailing heat wave that could unduly affect the health of learners doing face-to-face classes, said he understands the concerns of parents over their children attending face-to-face classes during the current heat wave.

He said he will leave it to Department of Education officials to decide, they are vested with the power to do so. (IFM Dagupan/Badz Agtalao)
