Pangasinan PNP raises P870k for sick comrades

FUN RUN TO MARK WOMEN’S MONTH 

THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO), to raise P870,100 in cash for 19 comrades needing medical treatment for their ailments.

This was bared by Police Major Fernan Rivera, acting chief of the PPPO Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU) after the recently-organized Fun Run in celebration of Women’s Month by the PPPO on Saturday, March 16.

There were 2,486 runners who paid P350 registration to to join for the three-kilometer or the five-kilometer run along the Lingayen-Binmaley Baywalk.

Rivera said the 19 policemen, suffering from cancer or undergoing dialysis treatment, are covered by the PDs CARE program directed by provincial director Police Colonel Jeff Fanged, and provide financial assistance and prescribed medicines.

Excess funds will also be used to purchase school equipment for the newly-opened Tanglaw-Lahi 99 Day Care Center located at inside the Pangasinan PPO. (Ahikam Pasion)
