San Carlos City bags 3 regional awards from DENR-I
THE San Carlos City government received three awards from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regional office for its successful efforts in promoting cleanliness and environmental protection during the 8th Ecological Waste Management Summit held in Laoag City on January 24-25.
Presented to the city government were: Waste-to-Resource Excellence Award, Innovative Waste Reduction Initiative Award and Effective Composting Award.
These awards were received by City Mayor Juliet Resuello and General Service Officer Lourdes Pinto.
The two-day event, graced by Assistant Secretary Daniel Darius Nicer, honored LGUs in Region I for their compliance with Republic Act 9003 or the Solid Waste Management Act and their best practices in solid waste management. (Kim Gealogo)
