Mariculture areas in Infanta, red tide-free

THE Provincial Agriculture Office confirmed that mariculture areas in Infanta town are free from toxic red tide.

In a letter dated January 17, 2024 addressed to all mayors, Provincial Agriculturist Dalisay Moya informed the local governments that the coastal areas of Alaminos City, Sual  Bani, Anda, Bolinao and the maintained mariculture areas in Infanta are free from toxic red tide thus, shells/fishes gathered in these coastal areas are safe for human consumption.

Dalisay based the information on Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Shellfish Bulletin No. 01 issued recently. (Eva Visperas)
