BFP, PNP warn: Don’t light banned firecrackers or else…
THE Bureau of Fire Protection, along with the Philippine National Police have issued lists of banned firecrackers.
P/Captain Renan dela Cruz, Pangasinan PNP Information Officer, said the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office issued the following guidelines on whether a firecracker should be banned or not:
- Firecrackers should have a maximum of 0.3 gram or1/3 teaspoon of gunpowder. Anything higher banned.
- The fuse should not be too short, nor too long.
- Listed banned firecrackers: Atomic Bomb, Atomic Triangle, Coke in-can, Five Star, Hello Colombia, Giant Bawang, Giant Whistle Bomb, Goodbye Bading, Goodbye Delima, Goodbye Napoles, Goodbye Philippines, Hamas, Judas’ Belt, Kabasi, Mother Rocket, Piccolo, Pillbox Star, Pla-pla, Pop pop, Super Lolo, Super Yolanda and Watusi.
Dela Cruz further warned against the production, selling, and distribution of said firecrackers.
Violators will be penalized from P 20,000 to P30,000, plus imprisonment from six months up to one year.
Pyrotechnics such as luces, Roman Candle, sparkles, trompillo, and others are allowed. (Ahikam Pasion)
