THE Pangasinan provincial government and Pasig City government are set to establish a collaborative partnership to address major disasters and emergencies in their respective areas after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan authorized Governor Ramon Guico III to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pasig City to create a framework for coordinated disaster response efforts.

The resolution, authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Vici Ventanilla, states that Pasig City’s City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), have agreed to strengthen their working relationship to enhance community disaster preparedness.

They will also collaborate on disaster planning and response activities. (PangasinanPIO)
