NEWLY elected Barangay officials were called upon by PDEA Pangasinan to actively participate in the campaign against illegal drugs.  PDEA Provincial Director Rechie Camacho said the new officials would do well to undergo a seminar and dialogue to be able to develop a comprehensive understanding of the dangers of illegal drugs and the imperative need to eradicate these in their respective communities.

DTI warns against uncertified, substandard Christmas lights

THE Department of Trade and Industry issued a warning against purchasing uncertified and substandard Christmas lights, emphasizing that although cheaper, these products may compromise safety. DTI Provincial Director Natalia Dalaten stressed the importance of buyers examining products for certification and adherence to standards.

Christmas lights manufactured in the Philippines should bear Philippine Standard Quality stickers, while those from abroad must have Import Commodity Clearance stickers. This caution aims to ensure that consumers acquire safe and quality products for the holiday season. (Roma Racca)
