TRANSPORT groups in Pangasinan expressed their frustrations as they belied a report of Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB regional office that 80 percent of the transport groups in Region 1 were already given their respective fuel subsidies.

Citing the case of his group, Bernard Tuliao, president of the Alliance of United Transport Organization Provincewide (AUTOPRO) – Pangasinan, revealed that many of their members have not yet received their fuel subsidies.

The AUTOPRO-Pangasinan, which boasts of more than 1,500 members, slammed the inefficient distribution of fuel subsidy to legitimate operators and drivers.

Tuliao said they are currently conducting inventory of drivers who have not yet received their respective fuel subsidy. Once completed, the result of the inventory will be sent to the LTFRB Regional Office in San Fernando City, La Union.

LTFRB Regional Director Atty. Anabelle Nullar explained that subsidies are automatically deposited to the beneficiaries’ respective fuel subsidy cards.

On the other hand, the LTFRB is asking for the bank accounts of beneficiaries with no fuel subsidy cards. (Ahikam Pasion)
