Mangaldan to deploy 300+ personnel for orderly ‘Undas’
THE Mangaldan local government will mobilize over 300 LGU personnel for the upcoming observance of Undas on November 1- 2.
Mayor Bonafe de Vera Parayno said the team will form a composite emergency response unit to oversee activities in all cemeteries in town, as well as churches and areas with high population density.
The unit will include the local town’s PNP, BFP, MDRRMO, Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), municipal health office (MHO), Mayor’s Office, General Services Office (GSO), Solid Waste Management, Public Information Office, Community Affairs Office, and other force multipliers from accredited civic organizations.
In preparation for Undas, Mayor Parayno instructed the local traffic management team to establish priority lanes for senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Additionally, the town will provide ‘Libreng Sakay’ (free transportation) to the cemetery.
The LGU also made preparations for other activities including ‘Trick or Treat’ on October 31, TakBona on November 25, Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on November 27, Ugnayan sa Pasko, Buntis Day, and the State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on November 30. (Ahikam Pasion)
