City to enforce one-way traffic on Arellano St.

THE Dagupan City government will implement a one-way traffic scheme on Arellano Street starting October 8, Sunday to alleviate traffic conditions in the ongoing drainage and road elevation upgrade in the area.

According to the Public Order and Safety Office of Dagupan on October 5,

– All public utility vehicles and private vehicles will be allowed entry to Arellano Street via the Dawel-Arellano Bani intersection.

– Public utility jeepneys with routes to Bonuan Binloc, Boquig, and Tondaligan, they may enter Arellano Bani, via AB Fernandez West through the NBI Dagupan District Office area onto De Venecia Road.

– Buses traveling from Camiling-Dagupan, starting from the transport terminal along De Venecia Road, will enter Arellano Bani, turn right along AB Fernandez Avenue Junction, make a left turn onto Rizal Street, and then turn right onto Perez Boulevard to reach their destination.

– Camiling-route buses departing from Tapuac should use Perez Boulevard and then turn left onto MH del Pilar Street to AB Fernandez Avenue. They will exit AB Fernandez West onto De Venecia Road.

-Private vehicles traveling northbound have the option to take the alternative route along Nable Street in Barangay Pantal or the AB Fernandez West route.

POSO stressed that entry from AB Fernandez Junction toward Arellano Street is strictly prohibited, except for emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks. (Ahikam Pasion)
