BEI training for BSKE 2023 starts September 11
AFTER the week-long filing of Certificates of Candidacy from August 28 to September 2, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office in Pangasinan will begin the training for Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) this Monday, September 11.
Atty. Marino Salas, Provincial Election Supervisor, said the series of BEI trainings for 22,000 individuals will end on the third week of October.
Salas said majority that will undergo training are public school teachers while additional 2,000 support staff will be hired to assist during the Election Day.
Salas said BEIs remain undermanned.
“Mangangailangan tayo ng 24,000 BEIs bukod sa support staff”, said Salas.
He remains optimistic that additional personnel will be called to assist before the BSKE on October 30.
Meanwhile, Salas said that verification and validation for the four barangays under yellow category is ongoing. (Ahikam Pasion)
