CHO begins misting operations barangays, schools
THE Dagupan City Health Office (CHO) began misting operations in barangays and schools ahead of the opening of school year 2023-2024.
City Health Officer Dr. Ophelia Rivera said on Wednesday, August 16, misting operations started in barangays affected by the flooding particularly in Barangay Pantal and Bonuan Gueset. Misting operations will also be done Barangay Lucao, Bacayao Sur, Bacayao Norte, Tebeng, Tambac, Pantal, other Bonuan Barangays, Malued, Caranglaan, Carael, Calmay, and Barangay 2.
After misting operations in barangays, Rivera said schools will be next.
The operation aims to lessen, if not eradicate dengue cases by spraying insecticides to areas susceptible to mosquito breeding grounds.
Rivera said Dagupan City already recorded 52 dengue cases since January 1 to August 15, 2023. (Ahikam Pasion)
