THE Dagupan City Public Order and Safety Office has begun implementing its one-way traffic and detour traffic scheme along AB Fernandez East on Tuesday, June 25, as construction of elevated drainage construction in the area continues.

Only vehicles coming from the East can pass through the Traffic Post number one or more popularly known locally as Junction, while vehicles eastbound are detoured temporarily.

The traffic detour advisory issued by POSO:

1. Directs motorists from Perez Boulevard and Mayombo east bound (Mangaldan, San Jacinto, Mapandan, Manaoag, and San Fabian) to turn towards the Mayombo PNR Road (GSIS Building), and exit to AB Fernandez East from the corner of the old PNR station.
2. Motorists from Arellano east bound must turn right to AB Fernandez Avenue towards Perez-Mayombo-MH del Pilar intersection and Mayombo PNR Road.

The current drainage construction in the area is expected to be over by September, but further delays are expected because of the onset of the rainy season. (Ahikam Pasion)
